PONIENDO EN PRÁCTICA EL CLIL: CURSO PERSONALIZADO DE APRENDIZAJE COMBINADO PARA DOCENTES

CONTENIDOS:

Módulo 1.   Getting real in the CLIL context

 

– How can we follow the National Curriculum and yet provide the children with a meaningful and memorable learning experience?

– Looking at selecting content to cover the National Curriculum but a load which is manageable for our students.

 

Módulo 2.   Assessment of CLIL

 

– As this is an area of great concern for the teachers, we look at this early on in the course.

– We will consider the expectations of parents and school management and how the special nature of CLIL affects this traditional model of evaluation.

–        We will look at and plan for the practice of continuous/formative assessment.

 

Módulos 3 & 4. Supporting output – Communicating effectively in the CLIL classroom

 

– Children equate being able to speak in the L2 with making progress in the language.

– We will look at strategies to help children grow in confidence so that they can engage in oral interaction in the classroom and express their opinions.

– We will need to consider the coordination between the teachers of natural and social science and the English specialists in the school to ensure effective communication across the curriculum.

 

Módulo 5 & 6. Scaffolding and supporting output – Writing in CLIL – helping the children to be confident writers in English

–        We will look at how to introduce the children to writing in the CLIL classroom.

– We will develop materials to provide children with the necessary subject-specific scaffolding for writing in CLIL

– We will need to consider the coordination between the teachers of natural and social science and the English specialists in the school to ensure effective learning across the curriculum.
